I was just recalling that the most decadent movie I think I have seen up to date has to be “Caligula”, a film, that was on the outset, and the inset,a cavalcade of violence and sexual depravity. The film portrays ancient Rome in its utmost sexual perversity and morally decadent glory, and is based on the deprave historical Roman emperor, Caligula, who is depicted in the film to be responsible for setting Rome into that abyss of cultural degradation and moral debauchery. Caligula did the most absurd things, like instating a horse as a senate, marching his army out naked, and at one point, marching his army into the ocean (and obviously drowning all of them at one go) too. He killed his uncle to become king, married Rome’s most infamous prostitute (he gets a real kick from watching her belly dance), and was having an affair with his sister and his horse. He simply transgressed whatever human or natural law there is. Him being insane simply does not justify such acts of transgression. ----------one of the weblogsssssssss out there posted by piranesi 7:58 AM Wednesday, May 01, 2002 year one tutors are GOD. first, Jason. now, Peng Beng. very very inspiring. posted by piranesi 12:19 AM |
